Recommendation of Superintendent Gregory D. Nickoli that employment of the law firm of Bricker & Eckler, LLP, 100 S. Third St., Columbus, OH 43215-4291, as legal consultants to the Pioneer Career and Technology Center Board of Education and Desmond Cullimore as our Construction consultant be approved.

Treasurer Schumacher noted that the unusual balance in the FC Bank account is due to Wynford FFA Fruit sales and that $63,500 of that balance is being transferred to Civista General Checking Account.
The move from Medical Mutual as TPA for the health insurance plan to MHS as the new TPA will take place in March. Grady Benefits will begin their monthly benefit education with email blasts in both January and February.
The CDAR that will come due on January 10 will be rolled into a 6 month CDAR at 2.39% at Richland Bank..
The December error in the EMIS and foundation calculation should be corrected in the January State Foundation payment. No explanation as to why ODE made the changes they did, but it looks as thought they corrected their error.
Treasurer Schumacher presented the County Budget for approval. She also presented graphs to show comparisons of 2018 and 2019 property valuations and estimated revenues from property taxes.

Minutes
Mr. Kowalski reported on student and staff activities. He noted that Sophomore Visitations are coming soon. He reported that there will be about 40 less students than last year and about 200 less students than 3 years ago.

Superintendent Nickoli welcomed the re-appointed Board Members and thanked them for their service. He also note that January is Board Member Appreciation Month and noted how grateful we are to have them serve on the Pioneer Board of Education.
The only change in the Professional organization roster is the addition of Willard Rotary Club. Clay Frye will be the representative for Pioneer at the Willard Rotary.
Bricker & Eckler will again be Pioneer legal counsel with Nicole Donovsky in employment practice and Desmond Cullimore in OFCC matters.
Superintendent Nickoli introduced the new FCS teacher at Bucyrus, Jordan Studer. He also reported that the Vocational Agriculture teacher at Colonel Crawford has finished the requirements to renew his teaching license. All other personnel matters are normal for this time of year.
Superintendent Nickoli noted calendar dates for Ohio ACTE Legislative Conference, New Student Visitation Days, OSBA Central Region Spring Conference and Ralph Phillips Business Partner Award Dinner.
