    11. APPROVE PERSONNEL RECOMMENDATIONS

    Recommendation of Superintendent Gregory D. Nickoli that the following personnel recommendations be approved:

    • Approve stipend contracts of Certificated personnel.
    • Approve employment of Substitute Instructor
    • Approve employment of Substitute Classified personnel.

    12. APPROVE MEMBERSHIP IN PROFESSIONAL RELATED ORGANIZATIONS

    13. APPROVE BRICKER & ECKLER, LLP AS LEGAL CONSULTANTS TO THE BOARD OF EDUCATION

    Recommendation of Superintendent Gregory D. Nickoli that employment of the law firm of Bricker & Eckler, LLP, 100 S. Third St., Coumbus, OH 43215-4291, as legal consultants to the Pioneer Career and Technology Center Board of Education and Sylvia Gillis as our Construction consultant be approved.


    14. AUTHORIZE SUPERINTENDENT TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT FOR LEASE OF CHROMEBOOKS FOR STUDENT USE

    Authorize Superintendent Gregory D. Nickoli to enter into agreement with First American Education Finance Company for the purchase of chromebooks for educational use with Pioneer students.


    15. ADOPT REVISIONS TO HOURLY PAY SCHEDULE FOR EMPLOYEES NOT COVERED BY MASTER AGREEMENT

    Recommendation of Superintendent Gregory D. Nickoli that the revisions to the hourly pay schedule for employees not covered by the Master Agreement be adopted.  Revisions made due to increase in Ohio's minimum wage effective January 1, 2017.


    16. ADOPT RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION FOR GENEROUS DONATION TO LEIMBACH SCHOLARSHIP FUND

    Recommendation of Superintendent Gregory D. Nickoli that the follow resolution be adopted in appreciation of donation to the Leimbach Scholarship fund.


    17. ACCEPT DONATIONS

    Recommendation of Superintendent Gregory D. NIckoli that the following donations be accepted:

    • Angela Phillips, Phillips Mfg. & Tower Co., Shelby; generous donation of 4,062 lbs. of rectangular and round secondary tubing with an approximate value of $2,024.80.  This donation will be used for projects in our High School and Adult Education Welding Career Technical programs.
    • Donald Plotts, 7326 St. Rt. 19, Unit 2312, Mt. Gilead; generous monetary donation of $1,000 to the Donald Plotts Scholarship awarded annually to a Pioneer senior.
    • Glenna Plotts, 7326 St. Rt. 19, Unit 2312, Mt. Gilead; generous monetary donation of $1,000 to the Glenna R. Cannon Scholarship awarded annually to a Pioneer senior.
    • Glenna Plotts, 7326 St. Rt. 19, Unit 2312, Mt. Gilead; generous monetary donation of $60 to the Pioneer Penguin fund. This fund is used for students' needs during the Holiday season.
    • Mr. Kerry Nutter, Shelby Thrift Store, Shelby; generous donation of an oxygen acetylene cylinder torch cart with an approximate value of $150.  This cart will be used in both High School and Adult Education Welding classes.
    • Mr. Tony Gregory, Silver Pond Farms, Mt. Gilead; generous donation of 8 butchered rabbits valued at $300.  This generous donation will be used for our ProStart Culinary Team.
    • Dawn Wright-Smith, Wells Fargo Matching Gifts Program, St. Paul, MN; generous monetary donation of $60. This donation will be deposited in the Alumni fund which is used for annual student scholarships.

    18. ENTER INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION

    Recommendation of Superintendent Gregory D. Nickoli that we enter into Executive Session for the purpose to consider disputes involving the Board that are the subject of potential court action.
