    16. APPROVE CALAMITY DAY FOR 2012-2013 SCHOOL YEAR

    Recommendation of Superintendent Glenna R. Cannon that the Board approve Monday, October 30, 2012 and Friday, February 22, 2013 as two calamity days used for the 2012-2013 school year.

    18. APPROVE CLASSROOM USE

    Recommendation of Superintendent Glenna R. Cannon that approval be given to Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center, 890 W. 4th Street, Mansfield, 44906; to use Pioneer classroom W168 to house a DD (Developmental Disadvantaged) unit for the 2013-2014 school year; and approval be given to Crawford County Waycraft Inc., 1650 Southern Avenue, Bucyrus, 44820; to use Pioneer Classroom W166 to house a DD (Developmental Disadvantanged) unit for  the 2013-2014 school year.

    Recommendation of Superintendent Glenna R.Cannon that the following donations be accepted:

    • Arcelormittal, Mark Friebel & Matt Smedley; 132 W. Main Street, Shelby; generous donation of steel plate drops weighing around 2,250 pounds with a value of $365.  The steel will be used for many hours of welding practice for both our high school and adult education Welding programs.
    • Mary  Lee Barr, 1004 Twp. Rd. 713, Ashland; generous monetary  donation of $100 to the Bob Janca Scholarship fund for student scholarship awarded annually to a Pioneer senior.
    • Mary Lee Barr, 1004 Twp. Rd. 713, Ashland; generous monetary donation of $250 to the Donald L. Plotts Attitude Scholarship fund for student scholarship awarded annually to a Pioneer senior.
    • Glenna R. Cannon, 7326 St. Rt. 19, Unit 2312, Mt. Gilead; generous monetary donation of $50 to the Bob Janca Scholarship fund for student scholarship awarded annually to a Pioneer senior.
    • Ike Costein, 822 Euclid Ave., Willard; generous donation of VHS tapes and DVD's of science content valued at $2,031.73 to the Pioneer Science Department., 
    • Dena Kirby, 2820 Kahn Rd., Crestline generous monetary donation of $100 to the Bob Janca Scholarship fund for student scholarship awarded annually to a Pioneer senior.
